How do you review perfection?
When Ken's album and tour for Touched came out it was 9/12/11. A history changing/tour cancelling time. Well here we are March 2020, and once again Ken is in the middle of a history changing/tour cancelling time. This album and it's tour can't seem to get a break. At least this time Ken got a good portion of his dates in. Despite the fact that the fine musicians backing him up this night ad only rehearsed once(that afternoon) you would have never know. Much like Ken, they were musicians musician's, and it showed. The hold almost surreal event was further anchored by the excellent opening act Brave Little Howl. Despite having to cut this (and a few Posies) dates, Ken gave his all as he always does. One of my favorite musicians and people. 10/10
After seeing Ken with his band on a bigger stage, this was the best contrast possible. Just the man himself, his voice, his guitar and a piano, in somebody's living room in Amsterdam. Beautiful songs, great music skills and all of that just 1m opposite of you.
A 2 hours show and afterwards drinks en talk with Ken. Very low key, very accessible. Briljant evening!
The show was the Posies, not just Ken Stringfellow. It was a lot of fun. It was loud and obnoxious like rock & roll should be. Also we liked the opening act Terra Lightfoot quite a bit.
