The meet and greet and concert were held at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, a spacious and lovely venue for Damien's concert but the location is hard to get to and it is better to take public transit or use Uber or Lyft to get to and from the venue.
The meet and greet was supposed to start at 6 and show at 8 pm; however, there was an incident through no fault of Damien's that one of the crew's vans was broken into and valuables stolen so they were trying to get organized. So the meet and greet was delayed until almost 7. But once he came out, it was great, we were lined up and each of us got to talk to him, take photos with him, get him to sign any autographs. Then after that, around 8 or so, we got to see him perform and the show was fabulous! We had seats in the 2nd row and he got us up dancing and during one song, we sang after him acapello with just tones. Another song, he came into the audience and played. He also gave out roses for the ladies and my friend's 9 year old daughter was too shy but another fan went and got her a rose. So sweet.
The show lasted for around 90 minutes without a break. We were all happy to see him perform and meet him in person.
I had a fabulous time at the concert. I initially was a bit dishearten with my first experience in Raleigh, however, the promoter made drastic corrections which allowed me to see Damien in concert at another venue right here in my home town of Virginia.
Damien is a phenomenal artist and I got all and so much more than I expected. He was not only personable and down to earth, all the promos that I had seen about him leading up to that moment were right on target.
He is excellent at his craft and his ability to transform any song into his own style is an awesome gift.
Three hours from home or just around the corner, I would do it all over again.
Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Damien Escobar is an awesome musician. The concert was definitely worth it. He spoke quite a bit about having to take a break to breathe for a couple of months. Having the faith in his fans to get personal and really talk with us exemplified his humanness. We laughed with him. Damien also went into the audience and sang. This was one time I wished I had an aisle ticket. He also handed out roses at the stage. The audience felt special indeed.
I really enjoyed the concert. I pray he remains successful and remembers his audience in Orlando. I will continue to follow him on Facebook.
God bless you Damien Escobar! Thanks you for a wonderful experience!
