Up and coming no more, these guys have made it. They are true performers, playing to the crowd, involving them and just putting on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. By now I’ve witnessed their perfomance 3 times and each time they’ve moved to a bigger venue and each time they have still kept that intimate feel a small 100 person club in gas town gives even when they’re in the, closer to 1500 person capacity, Vogue. Some people criticize DJ’s for just playing some songs on their laptops, but these guys go above and beyond. From jumping around the stage along with the crowd, to doing a dance routine on top of their table, to bringing out a trumpet player and live vocals. They keep switching things up and keep you waiting in anticipation of what they’ll do for the next song. They even ended the night with a huge thank you to everyone who came out. Which is a great finishing touch instead of just running off stage. I can’t say enough about Louis the Child, I’ll see them every time they’re in town.
I have to say I am pretty disappointed. People have raved on about how this group is amazing. They did absolutely nothing special. I could not tell if they were "Dj-ing" or just playing music. It was annoying because half of the time they were either jumping on their table, or pumping their fists in the air. I do love their songs, but it was practically like I was listening to the track on loud speakers. They could have easily used beat pads or electronic instruments to duplicate their music, which also leaves room for improvisation- kinda like Odesza or Disclosure. I feel when I go to a concert I should be seeing some type of live show; a performance rather. I paid $35 to simply dance like I would at any party, surrounded by people who are drunker than they need to be.
I loved their set.
Yes, it was one of the best sets of 2016 that i have seen. Unfortunately, the van that was suppose to bring their visuals got stuck in a blizzard and they only got left with one screen and the lights the Wonder Ballroom offered. But it didn't matter, I loved their set, with them playing their remix of "Compass" and "Blase" as well as originals they made like "Weekend" and "Fire." They even closed off their set with their biggest hit, "It's Strange."
Very okay! I love Louis the Child and was very excited to see them, but the venue had very poor air circulation and we waited 2.5 hours for them to show up. Once they started, it was only one of them, and played mostly remixes that could be heard at any club. Energy was great, but the songs played were nothing memorable. Played some great hits from the past five years, only a few sounded mixed. I'm glad I went, but I was unimpressed.
Best. show. ever!!! Freddy and Robby are truly the best. They really appreciate there fans. They came out before the show started to shake everyones hands and they crowd surfed multiple times. Played all there best songs and had such a great vibe the entire night. Amazing guys with such big hearts and an AMAZING show. 11/10 recommend
LOUIS THE CHILD WAS MINDBLOWING! This was my first time seeing them at a show, and they absolutely tore the entire house down. The energy was through the roof, and they kept the crowd happy and engaged the entire set. Their energy was amazing! The visual and lighting/lasers were well done as well!
It was simply the most magic I’ve ever had in my life. Nothing else has made me feel so alive. It was so incredible to see them on stage, playing their music and sharing their love with us. Definitely a amazing show!! Thank you Louis the Child, for making my life good again.
It was a lot of fun and they really got the crowd going. If you don't ikr fighting off drunk and high people from grinding or falling on you, this concert is not for you. Overall, an amazing experience I would totally do again if given the opportunity!!
I went to the Showbox, Seattle concert and it was amazing! They played all their best songs and some new ones. The concert was also really long, around 4 hours with openers. Louis the Child are really worth seeing live.
