Being the first band to sign to the imprint of Atlantic Records (Chop Shop Records) is a pretty big deal, and The Republic Tigers accepted this offer with grace and excitement. The group of the five budding rock stars made their splash with their debut album Keep Color, following previous successful EP releases. Although the band haven’t made it big as the and their record label had hoped, they have achieved success touring, and have built up a significant fan base and following. It’s a shame that they haven’t been able to sell their records as widely as hoped, as they’re n incredibly talented band, who deserve more credit than they’re given. They opened the show with Fight Song, and stuck to the album, playing it chronologically for the majority. They did however, throw in a couple of covers to add some variety, and they were very well received.
Each band member is extremely talented, and this becomes more evident when you see them playing live. Their stamina is incredible, dancing around the stage like mad without their vocals wavering at all. Although the release date of the new album has passed with no avail, I’m pretty excited for when it does get released, and hope they’ll be touring again.
