Very few bands can do an excellent job at combining genres to make unique and enjoyable music, but VHS or Beta does just that with their blend of alternative and indie rock, along with the house and disco genres. The band has been around since the late 1990s and they have had some amazing tour performances and I have been honored to attend what had to have been their best performance.
VHS or Beta vocalist, Craig Pfunder, held my interest from the very start, he came out on stage and seemed to pull me right into his performance and once Mark Palgy started, I was lost and hoped not to be found for quite some times. I simply did not want the night to end; I wanted to listen to song after song, over and over.
The energy was amazing and you could feel the audience getting into the music. The mood lighting was dark out in the audience and on stage it flowed well with the music making for a perfect match and I feel added to the feel of the performance. The lighting was just so that it seemed to create an illumination around the band, increasing their presence to the audience. I hold out great hope that I will get to see VHS or Beta perform live once again.
