"Gorgeous, sun-struck acoustic soul" - Globe & Mail
"Prepare to be surprised" - Vancouver Province
Vancouver’s Reid Jamieson is a prolific songbird who just loves to sing. Reid has appeared regularly on CBC’s Vinyl Cafe with Stuart McLean, and has recorded with Cowboy Junkies, Sarah Harmer, and members of Blue Rodeo and Be Good Tanyas. Now performing as an acoustic duo with his long-time songwriting partner and saucy wife Carolyn Victoria Mill, Reido and the missus are committed to making music that matters and moves us. Known for his compelling vocal performances and her therapeutic lyrics and onstage banter, this creative couple wrote their way into the Vancouver Folk Music Festival via their Pickin' a Folk Star Contest and are winners of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Following up on their original album of alt-country duets ‘Juniper’s Kitchen’ and Reid’s much-loved tribute to the 50s era greats The Presley Sessions, their latest release is a luminous tip of the hat to the legendary Leonard Cohen. Currently working on an all original album they just recorded in Ireland with Kieran Kennedy (Maria Doyle Kennedy, John Prine, Damien Rice), their new opus promises to be a potent soundtrack for the second act. You won’t want to miss what these two do next...so please stay tuned. http://reidjamieson.com/mailinglist.htm
