To celebrate the milestone, double album release, the band are embarking on a nation-wide tour.
The Black Sorrows have been at the forefront of Australian music for decades, the band are renowned for their high-energy live shows and infectious raw, rootsy, rhythms. Under the leadership of the charismatic music legend Joe Camilleri, The Black Sorrows have evolved into one of the most sophisticated ensembles in the country.
It’s clear that Camilleri surrounds himself with artists who share his passion and commitment to live music. Whether igniting festival stages or performing intimate club rooms, they deliver passion, authenticity, and a timeless soulful fire that leaves audiences craving for more.
The Black Sorrows in one form or another, have not stopped recording or performing since Joe formed the band in 1984. They have toured Europe numerous times playing songs that have become radio staples like Chained to the Wheel, Harley and Rose and Hold On To Me and Never Let Me Go. There have been multi-platinum albums, collectively sales of over three million records worldwide, ARIA Awards and Nominations and Hall of Fame honours.

The Black Sorrows are classic Aussie rock to the nth degree. They’ve been going whole hog since 1983 and are still true blue, stomping around the wide brown land from woop woop to the back of Burke.
It’s been hard yakka for these hoons and their latest album Certified Blue is a ripper. It’s been going off with mobs all over from Maloolabah to Kananook to Freo to Tassie.
Legendary stuff.
With a constantly changing lineup, The Black Sorrows have been permanently touch and go. They had been on hiatus for yonks before reforming in 2004 with Joe Camilleri back on vocals and sax and fit as a Mallee bull. They released a handful of cracking albums including Roarin Town, One More Time, Four Days in Sing Sing and 2012’s Crooked Little Thoughts that remembered the golden days of pioneering pub rock.
They’ve been as true to the legacy as ever. They still play their old hits, the timeless ‘Chained to the Wheel’, the shimmying ‘Harley & Rose’ and the sentimental, ‘Never Let Me Go’.
