Emma Marrone

I had the pleasure of seeing Emma Marrone in Italy when I was visiting family. I went along with my cousins who recommended her and I was not disappointed. She sings from the heart and each song was felt with passion and love.

Her musical style comprises of pop and rock, she has found the perfect balance between the two genres and therefore attracts a variety of music lovers in her audience. She has a distinctive rock voice but sings in a pop style which makes for an emotive performance throughout.

Emma Marrone rose to fame after winning the Italian talent show "Amici di Maria De Filippi" in March 2010, which subsequently got her signed to the record label Universal Music. She performs some her songs with her guitar which gives her an edge over most pop singers, especially those in Italy which are generally saw with just a microphone.
