I saw the performance that Victor Wooten did with Marcus Miller and Stanley Clarke back in the day, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, it was like watching them have a jam session. Victor Wooten is an extremely talented bass player from America, he's also a composer, producer, author and he's won five Grammy Awards, quite the achievement. He was actually named bass player of the year by Bass Player magazine three times, which proves my point that he's a talented guy. He joined Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller in 2008 to make an album, and they went under the name of SMV and released 'Thunder'. Victor now has his own record label, which he still releases some of his own music through; the label is called 'Vix Records'. Wooten still plays the bass extremely well and looks cool doing it; he makes it look easy and is never seen to mess up. He is worth seeing play just to admire the skill he has, which must have taken a long time to perfect. He even released a book called 'The Music Lesson: A spiritual Search for Growth Through Music', showing how passionate he is about what he does, which is evident in his live performances.
