The Golden Hours is a new band based in Charlottesville and formed by members of acclaimed indie folk acts Lowland Hum and David Wax Museum. These musicians have been touring and recording for more than 20 years, have appeared on CBS Saturday Morning and NPR’s Tiny Desk, and have been lauded by the New York Times, Washington Post, TIME, and Rolling Stone, among others.

The Golden Hours comes to the MFA to celebrate its new record, Terra Nova, with an evening of music that is at once lush and distilled, emotionally probing, and conceptually expansive.

Live reviews

These folks throw themselves completely into every song. I've seen them three times and never felt they were less than "ALL-IN", even once when the crowd was a little sparse. The energy, talent and showmanship- holy moses! In my estimation whenever you have accordians and trumpets on the stage you've raised the bar from the get go. Their recordings are enjoyable but can't capture the live show. What I'm trying to say is CHECK 'EM OUT.
