Kirko Bangz was brought up in Texas and he went to North Shore High School in Houston, and then later went on to go to Prairie View A&M University to study Communications.
Kirko Bangz started rapping at the age of fifteen; he said this was due to witnessing his mother struggle as a single parent. He is well known for his single called "Drank In My Cup" from 2011, which reached number 28 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2009 he released his first mixtape, which he called 'Procrastination Kills'. In 2011 he released his first single called "What Yo Name Iz?". Later that year the song was remixed and featured artists such as Big Sean, Wale and Bun B.
His second single was released in 2011 named "Drank In My Cup". The song reached 96 on the Billboard Hot 100, but has since peaked at 28. It was remixed by several different artists such as J. Cole, Tyga, Bow Wow, Trey Songz and many more.
In 2013 he was signed to Atlantic Records, and at the start of 2014 he released the single "Hoe" to go on his latest album. In 2014 it was announced he would go on the Trillest concert tour to promote his new album. The album was called "Bigger Than Me".
Kirk Jerel Randle better known by his stage name Kirko Bangz broke from beneath the radar in 2011 after he found chart success with 'Drank In My Cup'. Unfortunately the uninterested masses dismissed the rapper after this, but those who stuck with him were rewarded with lively tours and slick performances from Kirk himself and his accompanying musicians showcasing the solid remaining material from the debut LP 'Bigger Than Me'
He was known on the underground far before he had any form of single success with his 'Procrastination Kills' mixtape series, and he plays a variety of material lifted from those releases this evening. The more devoted fans make themselves heard during this to which Randle's entourage hypes them further. The heavy bass keeps the pace throughout the evening and keeps the crowd moving along with the music. He plays a collaboration with Meek Mill in order to demonstrate his freestyle skills before a note perfect version of 'Drank In My Cup' sets the whole roof off, easily proving there is more to Kirko Bangz that one song.
