Lucy Woodward, New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra, and Bundesjazzorchester

Fronting her powerhouse quartet, The Rocketeers — Jelle Roozenburg (guitar), Niek de Bruijn (drums), and Udo Pannekeet (bass) — Lucy Woodward has ignited stages across Europe, from the Istanbul Jazz Festival to Blue Note Milan to Ronnie Scott’s in London.

The quartet recently joined forces with the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra for a series of live recorded concerts full of colorful impact and blazing arrangements written by NRJO artistic director Louk Boudesteijn and Roozenburg bringing “the Bimhuis to a frenzy,” wrote Jazznu. The project bursts with energy — lush, cinematic arrangements wrapped around her voice, where high-voltage groove meets honesty and grace.
