Born on Christmas day in 1984, the twins’ earliest performances were under the moniker the Origliasso Twins, and before that – whist still teenagers – the name Lisa & Jessica, under which they released three teen pop albums. After landing a role in the Australian TV series “Cybergirl”, Jess received a guitar for her birthday in 2002 and began to revision their pop sound as having a rock attitude.
In 2004 the sisters signed a publishing deal with Excalibur Productions and subsequently after meeting the executives, a production deal with Engine Room. The deal led to the Origliasso Twins to a handful of esteemed songwriters and producers, and were able to develop a catalogue of over 50 songs. After turning 20 years of age the pair moved to Los Angeles, U.S. and landed a deal with Sire a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Records.
The sisters changed their name to the Veronicas, derived from the cult film “Heathers”, and released their full-length debut “The Secret Life Of…” in 2005. Spawning three top ten singles in Australia, the album eventually went quadruple platinum down under and the duo spent a year in the ARIA album chart. The sisters’ sophomore album “Hook Me Up” was released in 2007 and took the girls in a more synth-inspired electronic direction. Like its predecessor the album went multi-platinum led by the singles “Hook Me Up” and “Untouched”.
A live album "Revenge Is Sweeter Tour" was released in early 2010 followed by an eponymously-title debut album in 2014. Featuring the singles “Cold”, “Did You Miss Me?” and “Mad Love”, the Veronicas supported the album with a worldwide tour including shows the UK.

I went with a bunch of friends to see The Veronicas at House of Blues in Dallas, Texas, and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
First off, the venue was great-I love the House of Blues because it feels intimate despite its size. It’s also a perfect place for the Veronicas to play.
The thing that struck me first is how amazing they sound live, their vocals are even better than on an album or on the radio. The girls have such great energy and are so engaging that you really lose yourself in the music and it’s hard not to dance or at least move with the beat of the songs. One of the coolest things about the show is how much the band interacted with the crowd, it made it feel so much more personal than it might have otherwise.
After the show they came out and talked with fans and took pictures-I was so surprised at how down to earth and cool they were. Lisa even signed a shirt for me! All in all, this was one of the most fun nights I can remember, and I’ll definitely be seeing The Veronicas again if I have the chance!
Australian sister duo The Veronicas may only have one universally recognisable hit however they have a global fanbase who are incredibly dedicated to the band. The fans know all the music, not just the popular stuff and they sing it back in force at every opportunity. The sisters absolutely love this and whole heartedly encourage this level of interaction throughout the entire show.
Perhaps one of the reasons the girls are so popular is their infectious personalities as they really do not believe in any barriers between fan and performer and talk to the audience as if they were close friends. This means that the reaction to the likes of 'Hook Me Up' and 'This Love' is even larger and the whole room jumps in time. You cannot fault the passion and effort invested into every show and the rock influence really comes out when the girls perform, especially on a guitar heavy 'Untouched'. Far from one hit wonders, the sisters really do know how to perform to their adoring audience.
The girls and band were amazing live and meeting them was just an incredible experience as they are such nice beautiful people! highly recommend going to see them! Even with one of them taking an allergic reaction they still played on and blew everyone away!
best night of my life! the veronicas are my idols and seeing them perform was like a dream. they were so sweet and sounded like angels and i wouldn't change a thing :-)
