I'll be straight to the point: A fantastic gig, I was expecting it to be, maybe putting too much pressure on the artist and my expectation, but it was definitely amazing. The band played brilliantly, they played all the song I love and maybe one or two I didn't know and those were amazing too. The bass player was excellent, the guitarist sang too on Stranger's kiss, and fitted the part 100%, her guitar playing was top too, amazing drummer, was solo handed the support and not forgetting the amazing business partner that Roy, the sax player is.
There was a lot and good interaction with the audience, and one member was summoned up to the stage, it was fun, but lasted twice as long as it should have been, that was the only downside of the gig if there was to be one.
All in all, if you don't know Alex and his band nor is music, think if you like the Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, David Bowie, mix it all up, put some Roxy Music in it modernise it and this is what you get. I wanted to go again the following night. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity I will have to go and see them again, can't wait really. So at the moment I'm stuck with the videos and the tunes, but also buying the albums.
Long live Alex
Fantastic concert yesterday in Bordeaux inside this warm and intimate venue nestled inside a boat ("I.BOAT"). Alex Cameron accompanied with talented and charismatic musicians has succeeded in fleshing out his music dressing it up with vibrant sax or strong rythm drum & bass combo. Without forgetting guitarist Jack Ladder who proposed us a real good supporting act with a sincere and emotional gig (what a pair of glasses)), and a mesmerizing synth player also additional singer in some of the tracks.
Alex Cameron, moving like an animal on stage, and easy with the audience, has improve its songs feeding them in a way they sound sometimes even better on concert than on the album ("Take care of business"). The gig was exciting and never went down a minute.
Looking forward to see him and his band in a bigger place.

I have seen Alex Cameron six times. Roy And Alex always put on a great show. Their musicianship and artistry is always top notch and stellar. Two guys out trying to make a living on the road. I have seen them as both a two piece and a full band. Both experiences were greatly satisfying. Their backing musicians, Holiday Sidewinder and Jack Ladder played a big role in the touring for Forced Witness. Kudos to them for stepping into the band format. Both of them have great solo careers. Lastly, I really enjoy the warmth Alex and company show towards the fans. They are very friendly and seem to really enjoy their fanbase.
What a great show! Cool to hear Holiday Sidewinder rocking her solo material- a great performer. Jack Ladder is an incredible artist: what a cool voice and unreal lyrics- very talented. Finally, I'm so pleased for Al Cam and the gang; I first saw them in November as a support act for The Killers and they were great but their home is not a supplier act, no. Their home is the headline act for thousands! Crazy good sound and so lively, great energy and stage presence, very Interac and very funny, too! Such a good time
Was a fantastic concert. Alex was very engaged with the audience and Roy was hella funny. I absolutely love their music and seeing them live just reinstated that feeling. They were even magnanimous to mingle with the audience afterwards. Really really amazing. I am proud to say I had brief but none the less awesome conversations with both Roy + Alex and will be seeing them perform again next time they are here in HH. 10/10. Would do again!
Amazing show by Alex and the band. Great setlist, with many songs from the new album and the older favorites(including my own favorite Country Figs). Being the second show of the tour, the band's excitement of playing the new stuff was in the air and it sounds so good live! Miami Memory for everyone.
Shout out to opening DJ for really nice playlist and to Jack Ladder for his intimate performance.
The hottest act in showbiz just got a little hotter. Al Cam and Roy Malloy always bring the hits for their live shows and now with the addition of some all star players in his new band we got an altered beast on our hands. These folks have brought some old tunes to life in a new way and pulled off the new tracks perfectly. Great show. 5 bags of popcorn.
It goes without saying that Al Cameron and Roy Malloy are the hottest act in showbiz. But let me tell you friends this show was something else, a reeeaaaaal slice. Played some old tunes and played them darn well and gave us some new ones as well. I'll tell ya what this was a good time, fun show, and all the rest. Catch these boys if you can.
Fantastic night full of electric energy and a bombastic vibe. An 80 minute set of some of his greatest hits, and he worked the small crowd fantastically.
And lest I forget review time with the one and only Roy Malloy.
One of the best gig's I've ever attended and a truly phenominal performance.
