Biografía
Taking their name from the poet Friedrich Schiller, the project was originally formed as a duo by trance producers Christopher von Deylen and Mirko von Schlieffen. One would assume that releasing music that was essentially low-key Trance with spoken word poetry layered over the top of it wouldn't exactly be a recipe for success, but that was exactly what Schiller found when they released their debut single “Glockenspiel” the year that they formed. The single was a huge success in the native Germany, and as the 90's gave way to the 2000's, the duo found success all over Europe thanks to their esoteric sounds.
However, shortly after the release of the duo's second album “Weitreise”, Schlieffen and Deylen split amicably due to them wanting to move in different musical directions. Deylen kept the name and released the act's third album “Leben” in 2003, which brought the project even more popularity all over the world. Since then, Deylen has had one of the most eclectic and extensive lists of collaborators in modern electronic music, having worked with everyone from ex-Nightwish front-woman Tarja Turunen, Sarah Brightman and Colbie Caillat among many others. For such success to come to such an esoteric and ambitious artist is truly a good thing no matter what one's opinion on the music, and for that, Schiller comes highly recommended.

Schiller is from the musical point of view a genius, but at his live concerts he also gives you the combination of audio and visual experience which leaves a deep impression in your memory.
I love the "Klangwelten" concerts, they are at optically- and acoustically-perfect locations and you can enjoy Schiller's music in a laid back atmosphere.
Actually I'd say, if Schiller is coming to a venue close to you, buy tickets and go there! You will NEVER regret it!
