ok, so i had the best time at the colony house concert in seattle. first off, the opening, knox hamilton, killed it and did a great job of warming up the crowd. colony house had AMAZING visuals and light effects during their songs. the band had so much energy and it was an amazing concert. in the last few songs of the show, caleb came off stage to walk into the crowd, and he literally danced with me for a good ten seconds. he was jumping along with everyone, but he was literally 5 inches from me. not a lot of people can say that they danced along with the lead singer of their favorite band. i am honestly so thankful that happened becauee obviously there were people who didnt even get close to him. but, yes, as you can tell, i had the most amazing time at the show.
This was a very small scale concert which is apt for the level of recognition the band has so far; however, I still thoroughly enjoyed the music while Colony House was actually playing. A large portion of the concert was taken over by other artists - especially the opener, Cheerleader. This was definitely a let down since I wasn't really at the venue to hear them. It seemed like all three artists had an equal number of songs, which shouldn't be the case.
Colony House itself was great! Their music made the small crowd sing and dance along with great vibes. The musicians were great and had a good attitude. I just wish they played for longer.
COLONY HOUSE ROCKS!!! I didn’t know them that well before, but I saw them open for Switchfoot, and their opening show was phenomenal!! I’ve added most of their music to my library, and can’t get enough of them! They’re incredibly talented, and I’ve always loved the Chapman’s father, Steve Curtis Chapman, so that got me really interested in them and I love them! They’ve expanded my music taste a bit, and I’d love to see them again!!
It was my second time seeing Colony House live, and once again, it was amazing. They have a vivacious energy that makes everyone in the audience feel like they’re a part of something amazing. The band is also a group of really nice people. There were two birthdays in the audience that they sung happy birthday for and they let a kid from the crowd come sing a song with them. Can’t wait for them to come back to Knoxville, I’ll be there!
So fun! Both the opening band and Colony House were super engaging and interactive. I’m not entirely sure what I was expecting for a Colony House concert, this certainly wasn’t it but it was BETTER. This show was more up close and personal and definitely more informal but I wouldn’t have changed anything about it. Probably the most fun performance I’ve ever seen!
I've been to many concerts at this point, and previously, my favorite concert was Mumford and Sons, but at this point I think This is now the best concert of my life. It was literally unreal! The atmosphere was incredible, and this band deserves to be MUCH bigger than they are right now. They could easily sell out nba arenas and what not. 10/10
I loved this concert!! I felt so much love and peace, and at the same time, I was getting hype! It was the perfect balance. I also loved how Caleb talked to us genuinely. Sometimes when you go to concerts and the artists talk to you, you can tell that it’s rehearsed. Not at this one! So so much fun. I would without a doubt do it again!
Great act, I love this band. Their live show added a different take on their hits that preserved the original character of the song, for example the acoustic guitar-only rendition of Caught me by surprise. They came on stage and jammed with Switchfoot later, which was fun. I would have liked the colony house opening act to go on longer.
I saw Colony House at the Fillmore in Washington DC. A great intimate venue, perfect for Colony House and the band they opened for: MUTEMATH! Mutemath stole the night, as would be expected; but, I was impressed enough with Colony House to get some of their music. Very solid writers and good performers.
Great show! Are you are looking for a great musical experience? Colony House delivers! They are (in my opinion) some really great rock and rollers. The venue Brooklyn Steel was very accommodating and fun. I will most definitely return to this venue. Parking was free on the street and plenty of it.
