Chase & Status

Taking cues from The Prodigy and Pendulum, Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) have become a hugely successful electronic act, collaborating with major artists such as Plan B, Cee Lo Green and Rihanna. Their energetic brand of electronic music travels across many genres, from drum & bass, dubstep, breakbeat and grime.

Meeting at Manchester University in 2003, the duo honed their production skills before achieving moderate success with their remix of Capleton's track "Duppy Man" in 2005. Signing to Andy C's Ram Records imprint, they released "Hurt You" and "Take Me Away" which reached the top of the UK Dance Charts.

Their first full length, "More Than Alot" in 2009 was well received, with their single "Pieces" ft. Plan B becoming a huge hit, along with "Against All Odds" ft. Kano favouring well in the UK Dance Chart.

Their 2010 album "No More Idols" was to be the album that brought them mainstream chart success, debuting at number two on the UK Albums Chart and certified Gold in the first week of sales. The album featured collaborations with Plan B, TInie Tempah, Tempa T and soul singer Liam Bailey.

With 2012's "Brand New Machine," Chase & Status moved towards a darker sound, achieving crossover success, eventually being selected to headline Download Festival in 2012, a festival predominantly favouring rook and metal acts. Chase & Status became huge favorites on the UK festival circuit, drawing the second biggest crowd, apart from headliners The Prodigy, at 2014's Global Gathering Festival.

Having begun their own record label, MTA Records, the pair are committed to delivering music that is in their eyes, 'exceptional,' releasing records from acts such as Nero, Ben Pearce and 16bit, becoming pivotal in providing a platform for Nero's success.
