Rock & roll has changed, expanded and developed with the times yet The Wild Feathers believe the fundamentals should still be at the forefront of their music. The Nashville four piece have an ability to create music which sounds fresh yet could have easily been played in dusky basements in the 1960s, this blurring of sound has created a pure version of rock that they have then manipulated through their releases.
Their classic sound has been delighting fans all over since their formation in 2010 and they know have a loyal following who pack out their shows and sing along to favourites such as the smooth 'I Can Have You' or the somber 'If You Don't Love Me'. The band has recently been playing a fantastic cover of Tom Petty's 'Listen To Her Heart' which has been going down wonderfully with their audiences, it allows them to show off their skills as musicians as each proficiently hit every chord on their acoustic guitars whilst Ricky Young croons the classic lyrics.
Wild Feathers have enjoyed sharing the stage with Delta Spirit, Surfer Blood and The Heavy, even landing an opening spot on Paul Simon’s 2011 fall tour so they have had some brilliant teachings and the influences of these musicians is apparent in their show. Tickets are available now for their upcoming tour.
