Biografía
The band formed in 2006 consisting of the members: vocalist Rick DeJesus, drummer Trevor Stafford, guitarist Chris Iorio, and bassist Derek Johnston. Iorio would later leave the band and be replaced by Robert Zakaryan and Johnston would also depart from the band and be replaced by Andrew Cushing. The band broke into the mainstream when they released their first single “Invincible”. The band started to gain recognition when the single was featured in multiple television shows such as “WWE Superstars”, “CSI: Miami”, and “Bully Beatdown”. The song also did well on the charts, reaching the No. 6 position on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
In 2009 the band released their debut self-titled album through Virgin Records. The album featured the singles “Invincible” and “Last Stand”. The sound of the album consisted of heavily distorted guitars played at a fast tempo and DeJesus’ gritty vocal presentation. After the band’s debut album they released the single “It’s A New Day”, which was used as the theme song for WWE superstars Ted Dibiase, Jr. and Cody Rhodes.
The band released their second studio album “Home School Valedictorian” in 2011. The album contained four singles, which all placed high on the active rock chart. The singles from the album included: “Sick”, “The Collapse”, “Criticize”, and “Alive”. The album also did very well on the Billboard charts, placing on the US Billboard 200 chart and reaching the No. 4 position on the US Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart. The album also featured a guest appearance from Tyler Connolly from the band Theory of a Deadman, who contributed to the track “I Wanna Be”.
The year 2014 saw Adelitas Way releasing their third studio album “Stuck”. The album was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Nick Raskulinecz and contained the singles “Dog on a Leash” and “Save The World”.
When the Adelitas Way is not busy making albums they are busy performing in front of live audiences. They have been on several headlining tours as well as supported such groups as Shinedown, Guns N’ Roses, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, and Deftones.

Rock bands rarely play small venues, but as Adelitas Way were still fairly up and coming when I saw them, the show was in an intimate venue, an old converted church. The acoustics, environment, and general atmosphere of the venue was awesome, and it was incredible to be in such close proximity with the band.
Rick deJesus came out on to the stage with the roadies to help set up, and everyone was screaming and cheering in anticipation, and it was such a good way to rile everyone’s excitement. By the time the band came on stage, everyone was pretty hyped, and got into the music right away. They opened with Alive, which went down really well, and was a great way to get everyone involved, as the majority of the crowd appeared to know the lyrics and were singing and dancing along enthusiastically.
Something that you really appreciate in a live performance, is how much stamina the band have. Not only are they singing their hearts out and doing a fantastic job in their instruments, but they’re dancing round the stage so vigorously, I was surprised they could still play their music. It was incredible to see them perform and showcase their talent first hand. If you’re a rock fan, even if you don’t know their music, I’d get a ticket if you can.
I'm not entirely sure where you draw the line between hard rock and rock yet Adelitas Way seem to be an impressive example of the former. There are few bands that invest the same amount of passion into a performance that their sweaty torsos resemble the Olympic swimming team by the end. The Nevada ensemble undoubtedly believes in everything they do as a unit and although they only forming in 2006, they have their sights set on the big time.
They have three strong albums in their discography so the setlist is already free flowing and natural as the group do not allow the pace to drop once. They want the crowd to be involved and enjoy every second of the performance so Rick DeJesus makes sure they know all the singing, jumping and moshing is truly appreciated. As they stand momentous instrumentals up against the audience, they are slowly but surely working up towards an intense finale of their most well known track to date 'Invincible'. It is hectic, frantic and exactly what good rock should be, and both crowd and band leave the stage absolutely dripping in sweaty goodness.
Waited a long time to see this band....and it was worth the wait! They rocked and we rocked along with them! The set was too short, and I only hope they come back soon. Great stage presence, the drummer flew his drums sticks about and not once did he drop them! Amazing short show. I certainly feel they were ‘invincible’ and for a moment perhaps we all were to! Go listen to them, try them out, and hopefully they will come back for longer. They are an independent band, and we need to get the word out. I don’t often write reviews but felt this band deserved one. I want to hear more of them live, and once again feel and breathe all that is Adelitas Way.
I saw Adelita’s Way last summer with Scott Stapp, Trapt, Sick Puppies & Drowning Pool and they were AWESOME!! I was there basically for them and Trapt. I can’t wait for them to come back again, they put in a great show. Their set was awesome, too bad it was fairly short -- I definitely could’ve used some more of them. I got to meet Rick DeJesus afterward in the downstairs bar, he is literally a beautiful man inside & out — truly the nicest guy.
Adelitas Way was so good as usual. We see them whenever we get the chance. Rick is so personable and had a picture taken with us. The only bad part of the night was that between Citizen Soldier and Adelitas Way my husband closed his eyes and got kicked out for sleeping. Evidently it’s a state law. Won’t be going back to the Royal in Salt Lake.
Adelitas Way is a high energy band and their live show never disappoints. The pace is a full frontal assault of straight forward Rock n Roll, from sing-a-long anthems to emoting ballads. You'll always have a great time at an Adelitas Way show, be it a club setting or a full blown stadium festival.
They crushed it!!!!! Fantastic, awesome.... need I say more! So worth the long wait to get them here... come back guys! You rocked it in London. Love love. Live is an experience to see, massive on stage presence from the whole band! Go see NOW. I truly believe they are invincible, lol!
Great sound with great showmanship and interaction with the crowd. They chose a good mix of old and new songs for their lineup. The crowd was insane at a sold out show at The Machine Shop in Flint. I drove 2 hour from Canada just to see them and I wasn't disappointed.
This is very simple...if you've never seen Adelitas Way live then you better. The energy this band brings to the stage is mesmerizing. They never disappoint. Great bunch of guys that care so much about their fans and make sure they always give 100%.
